My Story
My craft business actually began at Fort Campbell, Kentucky somewhere around 1995 under the name "Creative Chaos". With subsequent military moves and 2 kids who became interested in other things rather than hanging out with Mom, my business gave me an avenue of creative expression and upon occasion has been a second income.
I have changed the focus of my business to military items with some Texas items. No more setting up tents before dawn for a craft show in the middle a field in Kentucky or Tennessee! I now sell through military spouses' clubs, military museum gift shops, and this website.

My business is now based in Harker Heights, Texas (just outside Fort Hood TX) under the new name of Creative Military Designs. My husband and I own a wonderful home and are putting down roots after 36 years of active duty Army life! It is nice to feel settled.
I am also privileged to be a volunteer manager for a non-profit gift shop on Fort Hood that provides gifts representing all the units housed on Ft Hood. So if you are in the area, you can find my items (and often me!) in the shop. The Heart of Hood Gift Shop is located behind the Food Court on T.J. Mills. We are open Tues-Wed-Thurs from 10am - 2pm.
